Based on Government Regulation of Republic of Indonesia Number 66 Year 2010 regarding Amendment to Government Regulation No. 17 of 2010 on the Management and Delivery of Education and Minister of National Education Regulation No. 34 of 2010 on the pattern of Undergraduate Admissions in Higher Education organized by the Government, the pattern of admissions the new degree program in higher education through a nationwide selection conducted by all public colleges and universities together to be followed by prospective students from seluruhIndonesia.
Based on the Governing Council meeting of Rectors of State Universities Indonesia in Jakarta on October 14, 2011, the Rector of University Affairs under the coordination of the Director General of the Higher Education Ministry of Education held a selection of incoming freshmen nationally in the National College Entrance Selection (SNMPTN ). SNMPTN 2012 is the only pattern of selection is carried out jointly by all State Universities in one integrated system and held simultaneously. SNMPTN 2012 implemented by (1) line invitation by netting academic achievement, and (2) lines written exam. (Special course of study Arts and Sport Sciences conduct a test of skills). In line with the Government of Bidikmisi program, for candidates who otherwise received through each of the selection lines can apply for the scholarship that supports sustainability Bidikmisi studies.
